Dear Patients,
As you know, I have been offering personalized, concierge-level of care for more than 17 years now. When you call our office, you get a live person on the phone who more often than not actually knows who you are. When you come in for your visit, you get to spend time with me, your private physician. When you get labs/tests done, you get your results back in a timely manner. When you have questions, you can call or send a message through the portal and they are answered promptly. When you are sick, you can come in for a visit or have a telehealth visit rather quickly. When you have a form that needs to be completed, we will do it for you and do not charge you a fee. Refills are also done in a timely manner. We have limited the number of patients in the practice in order to be able to offer these services and have chosen to not practice like a “hamster wheel” as other practices do.
Many private offices who offer this level of service, charge monthly or annual membership fees. Otherwise, most physicians are part of larger groups where you do not get this level of service. We have decided to ask patients to consider paying a voluntary $100-200/person or $200-500/family annual contribution towards covering the costs of these services. This level of service is not reimbursed by insurance companies. We are not going to require it so if you do not feel that you can afford this or you do not want to pay this, that is okay. It is completely voluntary and your level of care will not be affected at all.
Thank you for your kind consideration,
Dr. Margaret M. Coughlan
